Dhyana/Dhyana Mudra - The Meditation mudra
Dhanya mudra is one of the common mudras that is practiced by many religions such as Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and other yogic practices.
Dhanya mudra is the gesture of meditation. it can be used to channel the flow of the vital life energy called prana.
This mudra can be practiced to enable deep concentration and attain inner peace and equanimity while meditating.

Mudras are hand gestures that balance the five elements called the panchabooth (fire, earth, water, air, and space) in our body. Mudras help in balancing the three doshas in the body called the vatha, pittha, and the Kapha doshas.
How to perform this mudra:
step 1: sit in a comfortable place and position with your back straight. it is best to do with padmasana or yogic seating postures.
step 2: concentrate on your breathing and take deep breaths.
step 3: keeping your palms facing upwards place the right hand over your left hand and place it on the lap.
step 4: touch the tips of both hands.

These mudras can be performed at any point of time in a day. one has to start by holding this mudra for 5 minutes and can be stretched up to 45 minutes a day.
