Matangi mudra is a powerful mudra to get relief from tension, anxiety, stress and depression. Practicing this mudra builds inner harmony, reduces stress and strengthens the breathing system. this mudra is said to remove all the blockages around the solar plexus chakra, it is the channel for power, confidence and self esteem.

Mudras are hand gestures that balance the five elements called the panchabooth (fire, earth, water, air, and space) in our body. Mudras help in balancing the three doshas in the body called the vatha, pittha, and the Kapha doshas.

How to perform this mudra:

step 1: sit comfortably with your back straight.
step 2 : Interlock the hands in front of the stomach.
step3 : open the middle fingers and join them at the tip.  
step 4:deep breath from stomach region and concentrate on your breathing.

These mudras can be performed at any point of time in a day. one has to start by holding this mudra for 5 minutes and can be stretched up to 45 minutes a day.
After practicing this mudra maintain silence for sometime and relax your mind and body.
