Garuda mudra - gesture of freedom

Garuda mudra is a perfect to Balance vata energy in the body. Garuda means eagle in sanskrit, by practicing this mudra one can create inspiration and energise your body by balancing the vata- the air element and improve the blood flow.

Mudra is a unique and one of the best techniques that can be used to attain any health benefit by continuous and regular practice.

Mudras are hand gestures that balance the five elements called the panchabooth (fire, earth, water, air, and space) in our body. Mudras help in balancing the three doshas in the body called the vatha, pittha, and the Kapha doshas.

How to perform this mudra:

Garuda Mudra 


Step 1: sit in a comfortable position with your back straight.
step 2: bring your hands together and interlock your thumb as shown in the picture.
step 3: spread the remaining fingures wide so that it resembles a birds wing.
step 4: keep this mudra in lower abdomen region and take deep breaths for 10 times.
step 5: bring the mudra in front of the navel and take deep breaths for 10 times.
step 6: now bring it in front of the abdomen and take deep breaths for 10 times.
step 7: slide it up towards the chest region and take deep breaths for 10 times.
practice in the similar manner for 10 minutes.
