Ganesh Mudra

Ganesha mudra can be used to lift moods, relieve stress and anxiety.  Ganesha is the first god who is believed to remove the obstacles in life. 

Mudra is a unique and one of the best techniques that can be used to attain any health benefit by continuous and regular practice.

Mudras are hand gestures that balance the five elements called the panchabooth (fire, earth, water, air, and space) in our body. Mudras help in balancing the three doshas in the body called the vatha, pittha, and the Kapha doshas.


How to perform this mudra:


step 1: sit in padmasana or in a chair comfortably with your back straight.

step 2: bring both hands in front of your chest by bending your elbows.

step 3: direct the right palm towards the chest and left palm face away from the chest.

step 4: clutch the fingers in both hands as shown in the image.

step 5: inhale slowly and while exhaling try to pull the hands outwards keeping the fingers locked. feel the pull in shoulders and chest. inhale and repeat the process few more times.

step 6: interchange the hands and repeat the process by changing the direction of palms.

step 7: after completing few rounds sit and relax for some time.

one has to practice this mudra for six times at a time for better relaxation.

These mudras can be performed at any point of time in a day. one has to start by holding this mudra for 5 minutes and can be stretched up to 45 minutes a day.

CAUTION: Pregnant women should not practice this mudra.

Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water and juices for effective results.
