Neminath Digambar Jain temple - Renderipet 

Renderipet is a small village that is  located in Polur town of Thiruvannamalai district. There is a temple that is dedicated for the 22nd  tirthankara Neminathar in Jainism. There are two statues of the Thirthankara Neminathar .  One idol is placed inside the main garbha griha under the maha-mandap and the other idol is placed inside the temple premises with a small mandap.


There is a statue for the goddess Kushmandini devi  yakshi locally called as Dharmadevi amman .  the goddess who protected the Bhagvan Neminathar during obstacles when performing penance to attain salvation.

This Renderipet digambar Neminath Bhagawan  jain temple is located near Thirumalai the famous Jain Heritage center in Tamilnadu. This temple was constructed in 1994 and the panchakalyana mahotsav was held in 1995.

 Recently the renovation of the temple happened in 2018 and the main tall stone manastamba was placed  in front of the main temple. The premises was also beautified. There is a atithi griha the (guest room) for the muni-maharaj and the mathajis who come here to visit the temple to seek the blessings of the lord.

 

There are around 30 jain families in this village and the temple renovation credit goes to the dedicated villagers who patiently invested in the temple and also collected the funds for the same.

 How to reach:

Autos are available 24/7 in the polur bus stand. During night hours they charge a little extra.

Taxis and cab :  there are a number of local taxis and cabs that are available 24/7 that can be booked in advance or immediately by contacting the offices.

Nearest Railway station is polur that can be reached by local means of transport with in few minutes.

Nearest airport is chennai  that can be reached by buses or cabs.
